Wuchuan, a military group which appeared in the late Northern Dynasties (A.D.386-581).The backbone of Wuchuan group is a despot called Qiu shuai whose ancestral home is Wuchuan. The military group depended on the relationship between regions around Wuchuan and fellow townsmen, which possessed powerful capability of manoeuver and cohesive fore. Moreover, Wuchuan group setted up a separatist regime by force of arms at the background of the years of heaval in the Late North-Wei Dynasty, which made a profound and tremendous influence on the contemporary political situation,and even the whole historical epoch later. The main member of Wuchuan group mostly came from the six towns which located at the north of the City Ping, the early captical of the North-Wei, where the social formation presented as the Xanbei-race for a long time. And the generals in Wuchuan are superior than those in the other five towns about political position and standard of culture, which made them get together and made up a military commutity during the roit of the six towns and the wandering of the inhabitants of the towns. They also showed their incredible political potential then.530AD, through the operation to put down the rebellion at General Shanxi Plain, Wuchuan group turned into the mainstay of a new dynasty, West-Wei. During the continuing war between the West-Wei and Gao Huan at the Northeast, Wuchuan, the most important military power of the new regime, vanished along with the military conflicts again and again. Besides, the leader of the West-Wei Yuwen Tai enlisted the Hans such as gentries in Guanzhong and Longxi constantly to enlarge the political basis, which weakened the status of the despot of Wuchuan in the regime. When the West-Wei and the North Zhou devolution, most soldiers of Wuchuan became depraved. After giving birth to the Guanlong Group, leading to an alliance between the Hans and the minorities, the Wuchuan group had already accomplished its historic mission.
