Research For The Histrrical Data Of Pipa In <Complete Works Of Tang Poetry>

Tang poetry is the most important part of Chinese traditional poetry. WANGGUOWEI said in the preface of his work <Research of the Song and Yuan opera>'There are different kinds of literature in different ages, such as Sao (a kind of poetry ) of Chu State in Warring States Period, Fu (a kind or formal article), poetry in Tang, lyrics in Song, opera in Yuan, They are the typical literature style of there ages. The great achievement of Tang poetry depended on the condition of society and the opportunity of history.In Tong dynasty, the country became strong and prosperous, and it's also a period of economic prosperity, so the literature and art developed and prosperous. Especially for the communications of different areas, that made the culture blended. Poetry for music was a very concernment of Tang poetry. Pipa(a kind of instrument lake lute)was an important musical instrument at that time, so it was described in the poems widely. As the author counted, there are more than forty eight thousand poems in <Complete works of Tang Poetry>, and the poems about Pipa are about one hundred and seventy. It shows that Pipa was widely used in Tang dynasty. Pipa is a kind of primary traditional musical instrument of China, it has abundant expressive force. As support of music, Pipa shown not only the spirit of the culture in Tang dynasty, but also embodied the value of the poems that described the feeling of the poets These great works are valuable for literature and art, they were important wealth of Chinese culture and affected the art of Pipa in aftertime deeply and actively. These nearly two hundred poems about Pipa are valuable historical data for researches of Pipa. In this paper, we'll research the art of Pipa in different ways, we can research the art of music from the view point of literature, and unscramble literature from music. In the ways of history, folk-custom, humanics and extra, we can study deeply and widely in the art of Pipa. From the poems, we can see the highly development of literature and music in Tang dynasty. There are lots of great poets in that age, their works are variable in matters and styles and influenced for a long time. So the literature improved the development of music. In this paper, we study the Pipa, from this issue, we can not only find the development of Pipa clearly, but also collect the important historical data the <Complete works of Tang Poetry>. such as the form of Pipa, the musician and their amazing skill.From these poems, we can find the high level of the art in Pipa. In this paper, we try to research every aspects of Pipa from <Complete works of Tang Poetry>, from the music of Pipa, we can also prove the description in the poems. As a peak of traditional music of China, the art of Pipa in Tang dynasty is valuable in many ways.
