Shen Han-guang (1619-1677), Ming adherent, poet and Confucian philosopher of Guangping Prefecture of Zhili (now Handan City, Hebei Province), held fast to national integrity of Han Chinese intellectuals and refused the invitation to join Qing regime for three times. As the father and representative of Heshuo School of Poetry, Shen Hanguang made great achievements in writing poems and was influential in Parnassus of early Qing Dynasty. As a disciple of Sun Qifeng, his achievements in neo-confucianism was also high, there were many unique features in his neo-confucianism study,and in the spread of Sun's neo-confucianism thougts,he played an imprtant role. As one of the the adherents in Guangping Prefecture,his experience of life not only reflected the difficulties of intellectuals in this region in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty,but also showed the problems faced by adherents in this age of rapid changes.
