Chinese And English Euphemisms Differences Inspiration For Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

Euphemism is the process of human use of language, a common phenomenon is that people are talking about unpleasant or awkward to use when things are more polite usage. It has its own unique origin and composition methods; it reflects the different national cultural values, customs and social psychology. With the development of human civilization, euphemisms society as a whole is always accompanied by verbal communication process, and demonstrated strong verbal communication capabilities.In this paper, drawing on previous studies, based on the contrast similarities and differences between Chinese and English euphemisms, find their foreign language Teaching. Text is divided into six parts, introduction part; Chapter I: Overview of euphemism, mainly elaborated on the theoretical description of euphemisms, including the definition of euphemism, origin, classification, etc.; Chapter II: British euphemism contrast, the English euphemism for comparison, to find its way in the form, language and other aspects of the similarities and differences with the characteristics; Chapter: Western cultural differences in the British euphemism for the effects of different Britain the cultural roots of traditional cultural values in British life and religious beliefs have a profound impact, and is reflected in its taboo and euphemism.
