Chinese piano transcriptions budded from the Cultural Revolution, and now have been fully developed both in contents and style.Mr. Bao Yuan Kai is the most outstanding, one of the most influential composers. The first piece of his symphonic music series "China wind", "Yan Huang Chinese folk songs style -24 orchestral theme of Han Chinese folk songs popular theme composes a colorful musical picture, which fully implements the "Chinese style" creative concept: combining Chinese and Western, prevailing in commons and the prestige, combination with space and time. The show has been played in more than 40 countries and regions, and the audience has been widely recognized and highly valued at home and abroad.From 2006, Bao Yuan Kai and his graduate student Zhu Peibin got down to the adaptation work on "Yanhuang style". Based on "Yan Huang Chinese folk songs style -24 orchestral theme," it is modeled through the use of a variety of composition techniques, adapted techniques and not only retain the original characteristics of folk style, but also had the characteristics of the piano music, which proved to be a great success.Through in-depth study of this work, this article explores the Chinese piano transcriptions innovative ideas and innovative techniques, analyzes existing problems in transcription. By summing up the successful experience of"Yanhuang style", it digs out China's piano transcriptions about the meaning and social value of innovation and looks forward to a bright future of Chinese piano transcriptions.
