Japan began its aggression and expansion soon after Meiji Restoration, in 1931 it started"September 18th Incident", and occupied the northeast of our country. Later it propped up and made use of a puppet state of Manchuria, and colonized the northeast in all aspects of military affaires, politics, economics, culture and so on. One main part of a colonial system of puppet Manchuria which it established was to control various kinds of mass media, transmit their culture and ideology by force or imperceptibly, and attempt to collapse national belief and cultural transmission of Northeast in China from spiritual aspects. This paper is going to study the partial reports of puppet Manchuria's official newspaper——Datong Newspaper, which was published from 1933 to 1938, then prove the purpose of the newspaper and background, and then analyze the main four components——news, editorials, advertisement and supplement, finally interprete Japan tried to brainwash the people in the Northeast of China and get futher cultural infiltration, from the angle of guidance of public opinion. It can show that controlling guidance of public opinion is very important, it is concerning the surviving and development of a country, nationality and the people no matter in history or reality. It is found that on the one hand there existed the guidance of public opinion about culture colony everywhere in this newspaper, on the other hand a batch of brave intellectuals with thought and progressives worked hard in the period of the fall of Northeast, while the Supplement of Datong Newspaper, such as Datong Club, Evening Whiste, and etc served for Japanese cultural infiltration and at the same time contributed to rouse the people, expose the invasion through the mass media. The unharmonious voice in colonial domination, together with the armed resistance of anti-colonial war and anti-imperialist war, had cast light on the readers of the Enemy-Occupied Area.
