In making an animated cartoon or in the development of an animation company,it is always a great confusing and difficult matter for its makers and managers tobalance its technology, art and commercial operation all in one at the same time.Most animation makers and managers would focus on one but neglect the other two.This resulted in crippled animated works or companies either with an incomparabletechnology but poor arts, or excellent arts but poor box-office value.However, in this battle of balance, Pixar has developed a school of his own:"Art challenges technology. Technology inspires art". Commercial operationguarantees them, and in return, they ensure business interests. That is the reason whyPixar won a great success in the world of animation.The thesis describes the relationship between technology, art and commercialoperation in Pixar on three aspects.
