Shigeo Fukuda was known as a "five in one" visual creative master. He was a talented, unpredictable, innovative, passionate and humorous person at work and in his life. Besides, he was one of the greatest graphic designers (him, Gunter Ram bow and Seymour Chwast) in the world. His design concept and works had an important impact on design landscape in the second half of the20th century. His works can be found in almost every textbook in the world, and were displayed in America, Europe, Japan and other countries. His works possessed keen national characteristics and an international agreed visual effect.By means of overall analysis of Shigeo Fukuda poster, this article tried to elaborate and have a more comprehensive and profound understanding with performance language in optical-illusion graphics, cultural background and philosophic significance in his works. Through the exploration of the special graphic form, this article would seek the impacts on Chinese designers and enrich graphic language in poster design. Thus, better and more artistic works would be designed based on the understanding with audiences'psychology. Meanwhile, it may contribute to culture development and the re-design of culture by means of transferring philosophical ideas on posters.
