Chinese is a compulsory course for high vocational college students. It serves as a major way for them to acquire good human qualities, help them possess noble moral spirits and improve comprehensive abilities such as social communication ability and language skills. At present, Chinese course is generally teached in traditional way in vocational college of arts and crafts, which emphasizes the teaching of systematic knowledge but not the improvement of students'skills so that it can not cope with the demand of modern society development. For the adjustment of modernization and personnel trianing of practical talents in arts and crafts field, taking Hunan Vocational College of Arts and Crafts as example, this passage intends to talk about the construction of modular Chinese system in vocational college of arts and crafts to provide experience of Chinese teaching revolution for them.The basic content of this passage consists of four parts. The first part is introduction, explaining the proposal of this thesis, the ojective and significance of the reseach, and the methods and ideas in all round way. The second part, from the course objective, content, curriculum orgnization and implememtation point of view, gives an analysis of the current situations and existed problems in Chinese teaching in vocational college of arts and crafts. The third one illustrates the neccessity of forming modular Chinese system. It makes a profound investigation into construction principles, goals and oprations, and puts forward a complete plan for building modular Chinese system in vocational college of arts and crafts. The last part is about case study. Taking Hunan Vocational College of Arts and Crafts as example, in accordance with the target of talent-training, this paper makes curriculum plans in improving language skills and comprehensive abilities which are required by the jobs in arts and crafts field. It provides proposals for five modules such as hunanities, arts, application writing, oral communication and professionalism, what's more, a detailed analysis is made to show the specific procejures of course implementation in application writing as an instance.With modular curriculum design theory as guiding principle, the whole article trys to analyse and reform Chinese teaching in vocational college of arts and crafts. It also takes exploratory actions for the plans, which is a useful attempt to combine teaching theory and teaching practice.
