Since 1999 the third national education working meeting makes the decision to develop higher vocational education at full blast, after more than 10 years vigorous development, higher vocational education has completed the expansion and into the connotative development stage. Ensure and improve the teaching quality has become the core tasks of its development.This study researches deeper on the teaching quality assurance system of Shanghai Art & design Academy by surveys, analysis and comparison, and by the case of the typically professional curriculum, this study introduce and analyze the frame structure and operation mechanism of the system in detail. On this basis, suggests that the teaching quality assurance system of Shanghai Art & design Academy is a total quality management which based on characteristic teaching quality concept and is characteristic of quality objectives leading the overall situation, quality standards throughout the whole process , quality monitoring and evaluation outstanding its art & design characters and informationization and glasnost of its quality assurance. Summative assessment combined with the formative evaluation, monitoring and evaluate the teaching quality of the whole teaching process all-round by all-people and the openness of quality assurance system outstanding the characteristics of the craft art classes of higher vocational colleges. The system has general significance for the teaching of higher craft art professional curriculum, worth the craft art higher vocational colleges'reference, and also has reference value for other types of higher vocational colleges.
