Quine's theory has played a very important role to the development of the western analytical philosophy. The most important act is the criticism of the two creeds of empiricism. In accordance with the two main points of logical empiricism, the opposition of analysis and synthesis and authentication theory and reductionism, Quine strongly refutes it linking with pragmatism and puts forward the promise of ontology and holism view by defining the conception "analyticity" based on the theory of his teacher logical empiricist Carnap. From the view of methodology, his logical analysis method is not beyond the traditional empiricism. The definition of "analyticity" is too small. It leads that his criticism is imperfect. Also, we need to realize that his criticism has great impact to the British and American analytical philosophy. The logical empiricism becomes declining in the1960's, while the logical pragmatism created by Quine steps on the stage of analytical philosophy history.
