Minority Theme Of The Regional Characteristics Of The Chinese Painting Research

Xinjiang is located in China's northwest frontier with a unique landscape and rich ethnic and cultural characteristics. Therefore, Xinjiang theme is full of regional features in Chinese paintings. By reviewing the features and history of Xinjiang theme Chinese painting, this paper analyzes the meaning of existence and its limitations showed in Xinjiang theme of traditional Chinese painting in order to provide some suggestions on the creation in the future. As the carrier and visual expression of Xinjiang ethnic minority culture, Xinjiang theme of Chinese painting plays a vital role in reflecting and revealing the importance of Chinese ethnic policy and west development, which also enriches and develops the regional culture as well as representing the painter's aesthetic consciousness on their way of inheriting and innovating the traditional Chinese painting.Ethnic minority theme, especially the Xinjiang theme creation of traditional Chinese painting has developed and explored for quite a long time. Nowadays, modern artists are still inspired by the folk art and traditional methods in their creation, from which their understandings to the art itself and the deepen society. In this way their works show full of the spirit of the times. Researches on this area mainly focus on reviewing the ethnic minority theme creation of the20th Century. Studies on the regional theme of Xinjiang ethnic minority theme remain few and lack of theory-construction, problems and its future development.The first chapter of this paper briefly reviewed the history of Xinjiang ethnic minority theme creation of traditional Chinese painting. The second chapter introduces the regional characteristics by analyzing the creation ideas and the works of eminent artists in this area. The third chapter analyzes the factors that influence the characteristics. Finally, the fourth chapter concludes the meaning of the existence of regional characteristics and its limitation and suggestions on future development.The innovation of this paper is mainly focus on the literature review, the factor analysis of the regional characteristics and some thoughts on the future development.The tradition and the modern are always intertwine with each other and together pushing the art development. For the Xinjiang ethnic minority theme in the Chinese painting, the spirit of inheriting is for innovation. They are trying to put the Xinjiang ethnic minority theme creation in the coordinate of tradition and modern, abroad and home, in order to conserve the creation principles and laws in Chinese painting for its benign development. The author tries to explore the achievements, regional characteristic and it limitations in Xinjiang ethnic minority theme creation, to make own effort on its development.
