Recently, school engagement, as a abroad research hotpot, has attracted more and more attention of domestic researchers. As the opposite side of learning burnout, school engagement sets out from the angle of positive psychology, which could expand and enrich the expanding the scope and range of leaning burnout, proposing a new angle for understanding and replying learning burnout. School engagement is an active state in which students behave in school life, including behavior engagement, emotion engagement and acknowledge engagement. School engagement is critical for students' study, and former researchers'studies show that it could promote students'academic achievement and reduce dropout rate, and also it shows positive correlation with study performance. Lack of school engagement not only influences students'study efficiency and achievement, but also wastes social costs, which is also involved with the high misconduct level and criminal activities. Therefore, it is very important for school education to carry out research on the influence factors of school engagement and propose the intervention methods.Former studies show that there are many factors influencing school engagement, including environment factors such as teacher student relationship, peer relation, school environments, parents'support and family cohesion, and as well as including individual factors such as sex, race, self-efficacy and personality characteristics. However, the effect of study pressure, which is the main problem junior middle school students facing, on school engagement and the influence mechanism have not been discussed. This study, by make survey on360senior middle school students, is to find out the relationship between study pressure and school engagement for junior middle school students and the interaction mechanisms centered autonomy motivation, to provide theoretical direction for improving students'study. Questionnaire method has been applied, and by using modified school engagement forms, study autonomous regulation questionnaires and study pressure questionnaires, senior middle school students from different grades have been tested. The research results show that:1. Study pressure questionnaires include three dimensions:homework burden pressure, anticipation pressure and self pressure, and have good validity. Modified school engagement forms and study autonomous regulation questionnaires have good validity.2. The school engagement levels of senior middle school students show remarkable grade difference and sex difference. The mother's education has certain effect on school engagement:The lower the mother's education is the lower school engagement is, and the main reason is the lower emotion engagement level.3. Study pressure levels have remarkable difference between different grades: Junior Three students have highest study pressure level and school work pressure level, and the anticipation pressure level is higher than that of Junior One. Self pressure levels have sex difference:The self pressure level of female students is higher than that of male students.4. Relative analysis shows that:For senior middle school students, study pressure patterns, autonomy motivation and school engagement have remarkable relevance. There is a negative relation between study burden pressure, anticipation pressure and autonomy motivation, and further more, the negative relation is existing for the all dimensions of school engagement. There is a positive relation between self pressure and autonomy motivation and it exits with all dimensions of school engagement.5. Regression analysis has been carried out between school engagement and its dimensions with study pressure. Results by controlling age and sex, the study pressure of senior students could raise the school engagement level, and school work burden pressure and anticipation pressure have negative relevance with predicted school engagement level, while self pressure has positive relevance with predicted school engagement level.6. Multiple regression analysis results show that:autonomy motivation has a mediating effect on the influence of study pressure on school engagement and its dimensions. School work burden pressure has complete mediating effect on the influence of study pressure on school engagement, and has part mediating effect on the influence of anticipation pressure and self pressure on school engagement. Anticipation pressure and self pressure not only could affect school engagement directly, but also could affect school engagement by autonomy motivation.
