From the date of birth, Internet with its unique advantages, quickly infiltrated all spheres of daily life, and changing the way of working, learning and thinking of human being. College students as the most active groups of Internet users, Internet on the one hand is emerging as an important channel for them to get information and acquire knowledge, on the other hand with the continuous development of Internet technologies and the rapid spread of the personal computer, the negative influence of Internet is growing. Due to little knowledge about Internet and weak ability in self-control, some college students show different levels of internet addiction, which brings about a lot of harm to the college students for their study, interpersonal relationships, mental health and so on. So far, Internet Addiction Disorder(IAD), also known as Pathological Internet Use (PIU), has become one of the major topics in the research of psychology in and abroad. In the paper, the author translated the English version of the Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy Scale to the chinese version, and selected400college students as subjects to examing the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy Scale. Then using questionaires and selecting633college students as subjects to probe into the forecasting functions of some psychological variables which reflect self-adjustments and social resources, such as life events, regulatory emotional self-efficacy and internet control self-efficacy to the inclination of internet addiction, in order to bring to light group identity in the internet addiction among college students and those influential dimensions which result in the college students'inclination of internet addiction, and to provide with some inspiration to help to take active and effective measures to the negative influences brought by the college students'over-use of internet. In the paper, we have got some findings as follows:1.The Chinese version of the Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy Scale which we revised in this paper has a high reliability and validity. 2.There are sex differences and grade differences among the internet users, as well as the only children and the not-only children. Male students are much easier to be invovled in the internet than female students, the only children are much easier to be invovled in the internet than the not-only children. Sophomore and Junior students are more easier to be invovled in the internet than those of the other grades.3.There are significant differences in each dimension in their life events of those internet users who are at different levels addicted. Three dimensions, including "health adjustment","others" and "interpersonal relationships", have forecasting funtions to the inclination of internet addiction.4.There are significant differences in each dimension in their regulatory emotional self-efficacy of those internet users who are at different levels addicted. The only one dimension which has forecasting funtion to the inclination of internet addiction is "DES"5.There are significant differences in their internet control self-efficacy of those internet users who are at different levels addicted, and the internet control self-efficacy has forecasting funtion to the inclination of internet addiction.6.A forecasting model was established of the inclination of the Internet addiction. It showed that life events, regulatory emtional self-efficacy, internet control self-efficacy, are closely related to the inclination of the Internet addiction. By using path analysis, we found that:life events, regulatory emtional self-efficacy, internet control self-efficacy can directly forecast the inclination of the Internet addiction; life events, regulatory emtional self-efficacy also can indirectly forecast the inclination of the Internet addiction. In the end of the paper, the author summarized the problems and outlook in the study, as well as some suggesions to help to take active and effective measures to the negative influences brought by the college students'over-use of internet.
