Schematic Analysis On Hai Ning Han Dynasty Stone Engravings

In the researches of art, formal language analysis of artworks is necessary. As the subject of this study, Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings have distinctive visual forms, obvious formal features, and have pictorial features in the image of carving lines. Also, they have rich, varied, and free loose of spatial layout structures. Moreover, it has a strong integrity of the plot handling, which makes the form and structure artistically coherent. These visual features of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings have a unique artistic style among those stone engravings of the whole Han Dynasty period. This study adopted a method called schematic analysis to explore the visual forms of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings, with an angle of the visual arts. Meanwhile, this study tried to search literature for evidence and to explore the aesthetic spirit behind the portrait of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings, in order to illustrate the aesthetic significance of forms of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings.This study made a deeply schematic analysis on Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings from five parts as followings.The first part is the introduction, in which background of the subject, current research status, and purposes of this study have been detailed indicated, in order to explain the reason of selecting Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings as a case study to discussion. Especially, reasons and theoretic Basis of choosing the methodology of schematic analysis have been explained in detail. The concept of schema has been defined exactly. At last, significance and value of this study have been indicated.The second part of this study has detailed visual interpretations on the schematic structure of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings. Features of every wall have been analyzed one by one on the typical schematic structure relationship. This step made the form shaping analysis foundation for the next step of schema analysis. The third part of this study discussed the visual forms of aesthetic of schema of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings, to show its special form styles. This analysis made supports of visual aesthetic significance to deep investigation on the behind idea and concept of visual forms of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings.The forth part of this study tried to interpret the schematic concept of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings; then it revealed the spirit of ideas behind Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings. Meanwhile, this part of study discussed the aesthetic of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings'artistic style, in which indicating momentum, romantic unrestrained, with thought of the spirit of ideas behind. The study also discussed the ideological origins behind the form styles of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings.The fifth part of this study is the conclusion. Studies on the schema research are still on the initial stage throughout the whole area of Han Dynasty stone engravings'researches. With only a few literatures, the researches on this area haven't reached its proper breadth. Thus, this study tried to make the subject of Hai Ning Han Dynasty stone engravings as case study. The discussion by schematic analysis makes another tentative effort, in order to lead further researches, and to provide some thoughts for art study in Han Dynasty stone engravings. In conclusion, this study has certain value and significance.
