Studying Empty Category Of Sentences In The Yellow Storm

Based on the Empty Category Theory,referring to Lao She's The Yellow Storm as the specific corpus,this paper is going to research the existing,distributing and inherent laws of Empty Category in pivotal sentence,existential sentence,and"de"sentence.Theta theory is the theoretical foundation for Empty Category that exsits in the pivotal sentence. The empty category,which is produced from D-structure,is classified into proform in the pivotal sentence.However,the controller exist in more spaces of Struct V,and it is same with the empty category.From beginning to analyze the features of V1,V2 as a beginning,that will help to figure semantic feature of the empty category.More details in the chapter 4.According to the studying of core verb,it shows that there is trace in the monovalent verb consisting of the existential sentence.The existential sentence is restricted by moved NP;There is ellipsis empty category in bivalent verb consisting of the existential sentence.Its semantic relations is uncertain or wide-ranging,and got back randomly.More details in the chapter 5.The"de"sentence with the typical structure characteristics,whose paragraph has clear semantic trace features and pragmatic features.The existing of the empty category is related to its three-dimensional features.There are all three types of empty category in this sentence.More details in the chapter 6.
