Life is full of all kinds of moral problems. There are many problems we have to face, such as how do people make moral judgment, what are the factors influencing people's moral judgments, whether emotions have an effect on moral judgment. The development of research on moral judgment can be traced back to rational reasoning model which consider that rational reasoning played a decisive role in moral judgment, represented as Kohlberg. Then, Haidt came up with the social intuitionist model, which believed that emotion played a decisive role in moral judgment. Now, the scholars generally approve the dual-processing theory model proposed by Greene, which consider that both cognition and emotion play an important role in moral judgment. It can be obtained from these models that scholars pay more and more attention to emotion effect in moral judgment. Meanwhile, related behavior and neurological research show that emotions have great affect on moral judgment. But there is still no conclusion of the question that-"How does emotion affect moral judgment?" In this study, we attempt to reveal the mechanism of emotion processing in moral judgments by exploring the time course of moral judgment. This study suggests that the degree of self-involvement influence the degree of emotion-involvement in moral judgment. Two different experiments were carried out to discuss the temporal features of moral judgment under the condition of different degree of emotion-involvement. In study1, participants were required to decide if a behavioral event should be accepted from a third person's perspective. In study2, participants were required to decide if a behavioral event should be accepted form their own perspectives. EEG data and reaction time were recorded. The results of the study showed that, in the experiment of low degree of emotion-involvement, moral intuitions are more used to make moral judgment at the previous stage, but, emotions are more used to make moral judgment at the late stage. However, in the experiment of high degree of emotion-involvement, the difference between the time course of moral judgment and other events is that emotion.
