China is a country that values filial piety and has a long history and rich ethical thought resources,having stressed "the good filial first" since ancient times. Filial piety has continuously to penetrate to thelife of the people and affect people's endowment practice in the history of several thousand years. But italso has a class nature and historical limitations, suffering an evitable impact in the current age, and theconcept of "Bring up their children for old age" are changing gradually. With the wane of filial pietyculture and the family's endowment function gradually weakened, how to better solve the problem ofcares for the old-age population has become the focus of the government and all circles of the society.It is necessary to study the culture of filial piety which is not only directly related to the fivethousand years of Chinese traditional culture and heritage stretch, but more related to the pensionproblems of the majority of the elderly, especially the old people in the rural society with a weak socialsecurity system. This paper is on the subject of to the heritage of filial piety culture in the contemporaryrural society, through semi-structured interviews and participant observation to find the villagers'awareness, understand the culture of filial piety and how they implement the culture of filial piety in thebehavior, and how they understand the culture of filial piety of the past and now and how theyexperience the changes of the culture of filial piety and heritage.Especially the elderly, how to use thepast filial piety culture to explain their life now and the world around them, and how they perceive filialpiety culture in the rural social development and changes of the culture. Comparing the ideal conductpatterns of filial piety with behavior of filial piety culture in the contemporary rural areas, we found thegap between the mode and the practice. In this paper, I use the four aspects: social structure, economicsystem, education system and cultural values to explain the natural environment and social environmentfactors that influence the change of the culture of filial piety, and try to explore the heritage of theculture of filial piety in modern rural society by the general rules of filial piety cultural changes. Mainlyin the following five areas:Firstly, the government should advocate to promote culture of filial piety actively in order to get ridof bad habits of support for the elderly old-age in rural areas. Secondly, scholars should carry out theinternational and regional exchanges and cooperation, and strengthen academic research and discuss.Thirdly, schools and teachers should carry out filial piety education and give full play to the schooleducation. Fourthly, all levels of government should promote positive pension practice and build ruralpiety culture of social mechanisms. Fifthly, rural residents should change the traditional concepts andenhance self-awareness of savings. The paper wants to analyze the development and change of filialpiety culture by adopting the research method of oral history, then to find out a inheritance mechanismof filial piety culture in the modern rural society in order to play the positive role of the traditionalculture of filial piety, and better respond to the plight of an aging population and the rural old-ageproblems.
