With the function of showing upcoming line of clothing of a designer, the art of a fashion show is more of a specific intellectual-artistic construction of the designer using stage design, aesthetic creation and model performance strategies. In our country, research in aesthetic theories of fashion show is currently attractive with the development of the art of fashion show. However, from the viewpoint of aesthetic theory, there are still many problems, such as academic lag, deletion of the spirit of performance subjects, aesthetic marginalization and utilitarianism of fashion show. Research in aesthetic psychology of performance subjects is still limited although other theories about fashion performance, the form of the show, stage design and perforce of the models have been systematically discussed to solve the afore-mentioned problems.As the performance subject, models are the main participation and creation parts. However, they have to face a challenge of the deletion of subject consciousness, which is called the deletion of aesthetic consciousness of performance subjects. As a result, the audience can not understand the aesthetic ideas of the designers, which eventually becomes an obstacle of the development of the art of fashion show. According to the afore-mentioned problems, aesthetic psychology of fashion models is discussed in detail in this paper.Using aesthetic psychology theories and analysis methods, the aesthetic psychology of performance subject is deeply discussed in four parts as follows:Firstly, the characterization of fashion show in China was clarified and the current aesthetic problems were proposed according to the theories of the development of the art of fashion show in our country.Secondly, four aesthetic characterization of the art of fashion show were deduced. As the main participants, the performance of fashion models makes a fashion show have four aesthetic characterizations, such as live, vivid experiences, dynamical and rhythmical characters, which composed the research foundation of aesthetic psychology of the performance subjects.Thirdly, the influences of three factors, including thought trends of art, selection rules and the target of fashion show, on aesthetic criterion are discussed in this part. It is worth noting that traditional aesthetic orientation and ancient aesthetic spirits in China still play a very important role in Chinese aesthetic concepts. However, the trend of transition to modern aesthetic psychology is much more obvious currently. Therefore, the aesthetic criterion is not empty or blind, but should be base on the evidences and rules. In addition, the current important aesthetic characters of performance subjects are national and contemporary. Moreover, some social adverse factors, such as isolated superiority, comparison and lazy habits affect aesthetic psychology of the performance of fashion show.Lastly, according to the afore-mentioned problems in the development of fashion show, effective strategies were proposed and discussed. Concretely, fashion models with high quality should be educated and trained in university. The purpose and mode of education were discussed in detail. In addition, the direction of the development of the art of fashion show was predicted in the end of this paper.
