With the development of social economy and culture,fashion is becoming more and more important in the current consumer society with developed commodity economy,and permeates every aspect of social life.No matter in film and television creation,fashion design,construction industry,industrial design,daily life or cultural research and other fields can be seen in a variety of fashion elements,but at present the academic focus on fashion is obviously lagging behind its development.In the current social background,people's cognitive demand for fashion is becoming more and more strong,and constantly endow it with new connotations and meanings.First of all,fashion,as a cultural phenomenon,is closely related to visual culture,consumer culture and aesthetic culture.At the same time,in the increasing number of new media communication channels and the rapid development of the media in the large situation,the speed of fashion transmission is constantly accelerated,so that a variety of fashion phenomena formed a trickle effect,penetrating into people's daily behavior.Secondly,fashion,as a symbolic symbol,combines cultural implication,status,social wealth,aesthetic taste and aesthetic taste,and influences the aesthetic consciousness,way of life,behavior and values of the masses in the imperceptible.Therefore,through fashion,not only you can see the social status of the group or individual,aesthetic taste and the cultural connotation,spiritual pursuit and value orientation of a group or individual,but also can excavate the common aesthetic tendency embodied by a certain group at a certain stage.This paper takes various fashion phenomena as the starting point,and it uses the related theoretical knowledge of aesthetics subjects to carry on the systematic research to the fashion phenomenon.First of all,this paper starts with the concept of fashion and its cultural connotation,through combing the understanding of fashion among scholars at home and abroad,it tries to define and expound the concept and connotation of fashion,and on this basis,it analyzes the fashion phenomenon as a cultural phenomenon and the fashion of consumer culture.This paper holds that fashion is a kind of lifestyle and cultural phenomenon,which can arouse the imitation of the masses,it is related to the development of politics,economy,culture and media,can reflect the aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic taste of the masses,can meet the aesthetic needs of the masses and make aesthetic compensation for the lack of the heart,and can create an aesthetic illusion.At the same time,fashion,as a cultural phenomenon,has a close relationship with visual culture and consumption culture,from which we can see the development of society and Cultural dynamics.In the pursuit of fashion,it will also bring a variety of aesthetic enjoyment to fashion suitors,thuscausing the desire to consume,and it brings out a kind of aesthetic experience,this consumption is often based on symbolic consumption,advertising in the aesthetic consumption also plays an important role.Secondly,it combined with the Chinese and foreign fashion theory,taking the representative fashion phenomenon as an example,this paper expounds the aesthetic characteristics of fashion.The aesthetic characteristics of fashion are mainly embodied in its aesthetic appeal in the
