The economic and social structure of China has taken great changes since the Reform and Opening up in the past 30 years, and the change in social structure arouses important attention of scholars and Chinese Communist Party in recent years. Since the Reform and Opening up, changes have taken places in China's social class structure, as the social structure transforms. As a result, some people in the new class, such as entrepreneurs of private science & technology enterprises, technicians, technical administrator employed by joint-ventures, individual household, private enterprise owner, employees in intermediary organizations, and self-employed persons, have grown up from the former social structure, "two classes and one stratum" (working class, peasant class and intellectual stratum). However, these groups of people are composed of persons in non-public economic systems and intellectuals working from home, mainly assembling in new economic and social organizations. As the new stratum lays greater and greater influences on China's economy, culture, and social living, how to identify those people's nature and roles has become a new important political issue. Meanwhile, appearance of a new stratum provides China a new subject on integrating social power forces, organizing the society, and regulating society. Since the new stratum is young and complicated, various people have different opinions on it, while Chinese Communist Part has to understand it clearly and objectively so that CCP can guide it and make it develop healthily. However, since the new social stratum is quite fresh, a few of domestic scholar do special research on it, and a set of systematic and significant theories does not form up. Because of it, in this paper, the author has a try to analyze influences on the society from the new social stratum in and all round way, problems confronted by the new social stratum right now, and reason for those problems, in the hope of contributing to completely understanding and guiding the development of the new stratum. In this paper, the author defines relevant stratums, classes and the new stratum firstly. Secondly, she analyzes the emergence of the new social stratum from three aspects of history society and the new stratum itself, comprehensively describes the structure and scale of the new stratum, and put forward that the new social stratum of China is composed of entrepreneurs and technicians in private science and technology enterprises; administrators and technician employed by joint-ventures, self-employed people, and private company owners, employees in intermediaries. Thirdly, the author analyzes both the good and bad influences bought by the new social stratum to China. It comes to a conclusion that the new social stratum produces some bad influences in china but the good influences dominate. Finally, in order to promote the new social stratum to develop smoothly and make it contribute more to harmonious society of China, the author puts forward countermeasures for those problems and bad influences, and corresponding countermeasures are indicated in this paper. |
