This paper is a tentative research which discusses the concept of law with the methodological tools of critical rationalism. The whole paper can be divided into four parts. The part one discusses how to acquire the definition of the law's concept, and suggests that the purpose of the definition is to make the law distinguish with other social phenomena. The part two clarifies the criterion which can distinguish the quality of the law's concept, and claims that it is a proper concept of law which can reflect the reality and have the explanation power. The part three describes the method of the critical rationalism, which includes two details:the individualistic methodology and the insisting of the falsifiability principle. The part four specifically responses and reviews the three trends of the research of the law's concept during the past time, and denote that the concept of law can be represented a de facto institution in terms of critical rationalism, whereas man cannot insist that this theory is an absolute and final answer.
