In this paper, the Marxist stand, viewpoint and method, based on Michael Polanyi·Tacit cognitive theory to explore the need for ideological and political education and research approaches. This article is divided into five parts:Part I:Introduction. Describe briefly the origins and significance of this article topic. Introduced sense of cognitive theory in the application of ideological and political education at home and abroad, research the status quo. On Tacit knowledge, tacit knowledge and other related concepts are defined and analyzed.Part II:This paper describes methods and characteristics of ideological and political education. Ideological and Political Education is divided into dominant ideological and political education and the implicit ideological and political education.
