Conflict And Integration: Marx The History Of The World Thought The Sight Of "global Culture."

With the ongoing of economic globalization, the trend of global culture is becoming more and more obvious , which arouses widespread concern among the academica, thus the relevent studies come along as a boom. Unlike economic globalization, there exist many disputes about people's perceptions of global culture. In fact , no matter whether people admit it or not, global culture has begun to affect our real-life in many ways. The thesis,from the angle of Marxist view of world history , attempts to explore how we should treat global culture , a new trend in human cultural development .Starting with the logical relationship between the Marxist views of world history and global culture, the thesis first clarifies the Marxist views of global culture that global culture is a concept contrasted with the relatively closed local cultures and that it is based on the national culture, began from the spread of capitalist culture and has come into being in the course of world history.Through comparing and analysing the scholars'perceptions of the implication of global culture , the thesis comes to the conclusion that global culture has 3 levels of implications: the first level of the implication is that global culture is a concept contrasting with the relatively closed local culture,and the concept of global culture has been brought forward to differentiate from national culture and regional culture , the implication of the second level refers to the dynamic process of the cultural commuciation,dissemination, assimilation, cultural conflict and cultural fusion among all the nations in the world history; the third level of the implication refers to the static culture of global significance, which has resulted from the cultural conflicts and cultural fusion among all nations. In the following part,the thesis explores the forming process of global culture, concluding that the whole process is a unity of contradictions, containing the tendency of cultural conflicts as well as the tendency of cultural integration,and global culture has risen from constant cultural conflicts and cultural fusion. Finally, the thesis points it out that in the progress of global culture, the Chinese culture is confronted with many contradictions, to resolve these conflicts, it is necessary to use Marxist methods of analysizing global culture, adhere to our cultural awareness, and allow the different options.In this way,we can choose the right way for the Chinese culture.
