Thirty years of reform and opening up has primarily changed the inequality between urban and rural areas. Many rural areas on the east coast have stepped on the well-off road based on its own distinctive advantages and government's support of policies. Research on the current status of eastern coast-side countries is of great importance to extending its successful experience. This thesis aims to provide a basic study on such theme with surveys on Xingba Village in Jiangsu province and Xingfu Village in Liaoning, conducted by the author. With the method of questionnaire as a main role and interview as subordinate, this thesis comes to a set of conclusions based on statistical analysis by social hierarchical theory, structuralism and interactive symbolism. It consists of four parts. It firstly displayed the current social background of social stratification in eastern rural areas, which mainly contains the influence of reform and opening up, fast polarization of rural peasants, the main standard of social stratification and changes in evaluation criteria of social status. On this basis, villagers'education level, occupation level, income level and consumption level are used to demonstrate the status of social stratification and the villagers'subjective view on the current situation. The author then discusses the status of local social stratification of village life and social interaction effects, mainly related to the living conditions of villagers on the current level of satisfaction and choice of target villagers, the overall situation of human communication and village-level governance. In the end, the author made a conclusion about the reason of the current non-traditional rural areas in eastern China, the stratification characteristics, trends and hierarchical social stratification of the villagers'interpersonal tendencies and the impact on the whole village. In addition, the article also made an analysis on the case of the village elites and middle class.
