For long time,the relationship between the U.S. media agenda and the policy agenda has been the research focus. The role of the news media in the relationship between the United States towards China has been the topic of hot debate of the scholars. However, the related research has failed to explain the role of the media policy in depth. This paper aims to explore the role of the U.S. mainstream print media on the China policy of the United States.The research steps of this paper studies is as follows:First, find the media agenda in political, economic and security field in the New York Times, Newsweek and Time magazine.;Secondly, analysis the U.S.'s policy agenda in political, economic and security areas.Finally, compare the media agenda and the U. S.'s policy agenda and draw the conclusion.
