NGO (Non-Government Organization) non-governmental organizations, this theory comes from the West. It is in society gradually entered in civil society, as a third sector between Government and market and civil society organizations that appear. NGO initiative, civil, makes in social functions is more inclusive. Shanxi merchants Guild in Ming and Qing dynasties, at the beginning of its produce was businessman spontaneous mass civil society organizations, which happen to be consistent with the characteristics of the NGO. Shanxi merchants Guild in Ming and Qing dynasties can be described as a prototype of early Chinese NGO, which we place Shanxi merchants Guild in Ming and Qing dynasties in the NGO perspective, but also stands in sociological perspective to study it. This article first start with the analysis at the theoretical level, to the Ming and Qing dynasty as early economic NGO study of social function played by Shanxi merchants'Guild.
