Migrant Workers Decent Work Status And Barrier Analysis

Since the 1996 international Labour Organization put forward the concept of decent work, Chinese government attaches great importance to achieve decent work in China. However the decent work is only based on theoretical research and practice is relatively short, a lot of people on decent work concept and content were lack of awareness, this paper selects the decent work as the research subject, has its significance.This article based on domestic and foreign research on the basis of decent work, Chinese huge labor groups -- the " migrant workers" as the research object, the paper selects Shanghai City Fengxian District Yang Village Industrial Park as the research scope to decent work, the target of the four strategy to study industrial park in different enterprises of decent work status of migrant workers. Based on the Industrial Park migrant workers decent work present situation investigation and the analysis, further investigation of Chinese migrant workers groups to achieve decent work barriers as well as for groups of migrant workers to achieve decent work and put forward some policy suggestions.At present, the obstacle for migrate workers to achieve decent work is urban and rural binary register system which prevents the rights and interests of migrant workers. Furthermore social security and legalization for migrant workers is not flawless either. The social policy can not be effectively implemented and the migrant workers themselves lack of decent work consciousness in the meantime. Therefore, I suggest the government should accelerate the reform of census register system, complete the social security system, strengthen the occupational training for migrant workers to facilitate them to have a decent work and make efforts to enlighten their awareness to achieve decent work.
