The Research On The Theory Of Social Harmony In The German Ideology

Since Reform and Opening-up, China has made great achievements in economicconstruction, but social conflicts and disharmony are also increasingly prominent. How to build aharmonious society, has become a central issue of concern for government officials, socialorganizations and theorists. A comprehensive grasp of the Marxist Theory of Social Harmony isvery important for fully understanding and solving the current social disharmony problem ofChina, and building the Socialist Theory of Harmonious Society.This article is based on The German Ideology, directed by Historical Materialism andstarted from the reality of China. The author formed a preliminary Systematic understanding ofthe Marxist Theory of Social Harmony through discussing its basic perspective, main ideas andcontemporary values.This research concluded that, the perspective in The German Ideology is different from pastones like Intuitive Person, Speculative Person and Commom Person. It started from RealisticIndividual, studied fundamental contradiction of civil society, and focused on changing world.And the Theory of Social Harmony in this perspective discussed about three major points, inwhich concluded conclusions that, the essence of social harmony is the harmony based oneconomic relationship, between Relations of Production and Productivity, between People andSociety; the root cause of social disharmony is the contradiction between Socialization ofProduction and Private Ownership of Productive Means; the way to achieve social harmony isemphasizing on the development of Productivity, adhering to the development of RealisticIndividual, changing the Relations of Production and smashing the old state machinery, etc.On this foundation, the research tried to use this theory to make exploratory analysis onharmonious society construction of China. It concluded that, Socialist Theory of HarmoniousSociety with Chinese Characteristics is the inheritance and development of the Theory of SocialHarmony in The German Ideology; the social problem between contemporary China and TheGerman Ideology are different but related. It further indicated that, the Theory of SocialHarmony in The German Ideology has instructive significance on building a harmonious societyof China.
