Zhou Dynasty is one of the most important periods in Chinese history, which is preceded by Xia and Shang Dynasty and followed by Qin and Han Dynasty. In Zhou Dynasty, reforms are taking place in every aspect of the society among which reforms in the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States period are the most drastic. Politically emperor of Zhou Dynasty is no longer the single ruler with political power in the hands of every kingdom's emperor; well-field system is gradually replaced by the private field system with the development of productive forces. In the cultural field, a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend; public school begins to decline and private school springs up gradually. Of course, changes also take place in the military field with military wars happening throughout the history of Zhou Dynasty, especially the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States period with many kingdoms and wars which makes military wars an important part of the social life in that period. During the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States period, the most obvious reform in military field take place in the source of the troops, the types of the troops, the style of fighting and the scale of the war.Zhou Dai military aspects of the changes is the focus of this paper. The Zhou Dai is divided into two sections, namely, the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, this is considered the Western Zhou Dynasty and the spring and Autumn Period military aspects of change is not obvious. This paper focuses on the spring and autumn and Warring States period military elements, these elements on the comparative research, the development change process and reason. The full text is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction. Mainly written about the meaning and the paper involves comparing the military element research.The second part is the comparison of soldiers. The spring and Autumn period, execute a country divided in a wild, savage army; during the Warring States period execute registered Qi Min system of universal conscription, a large number of farmers become the main forces for soldiers.The third part is the comparison of arms. The main research units in different periods of Zhou Dai status changes and new branches of the emergence and effects. Before the Warring States period chariots in the Army Infantry occupy a major position, low status, the Warring States period in the main infantry units, the chariots down position; spring and Autumn period appeared in the Navy, its function also gradually by transport troops to the battle, the Warring States period of massive cavalry armed forces, so that the war has become more complex.The fourth part is the comparison of operational mode.
