With the development of technology, people are also deepening their understanding of life and death. People's attitudes towards life and death are also changing. As a way and an attitude towards life and death, euthanasia will inevitably become an unavoidable topic for people. There were discussions on euthanasia in China long long ago, but there have been large differences. The focus is whether to promote the legalization of euthanasia. The controversies triggered by the analysis of euthanasia are mainly because most people demonstrate only from one aspect of the issue of euthanasia and they never or seldom systematically recognize the essence of euthanasia. This paper is divided into six parts, and has explored the ethical value of euthanasia.The first chapter discusses the purposes of study, the significance of study, the methods of study and the possible innovations. The paper argues that heated discussions on euthanasia in the field of ethics are due to the supporters' and the opponents' disagreements and their endless arguments. It is of some theoretical and practical value to solve the challenges and confusion of euthanasia by sorting out and identifying previous theories and practices and summarizing and studying its most basic ethical concepts and moral essenceThe second chapter discusses the definition of euthanasia its historical evolution, the first major analysis of euthanasia, the definition and characteristics; then the classification of the conduct of euthanasia, euthanasia can be divided into: active euthanasia and passive euthanasia; voluntary euthanasia and involuntary euthanasia ; direct euthanasia and indirect euthanasia, etc.; Finally, the issue of euthanasia is the emergence and development of a historical process, and only trace the history of euthanasia, clarify its development context in order to lay the foundation for further research, analysis of ancient and modern history of euthanasia and the modern Western knowledge and practice of euthanasia and the institutionalization of the process.In the Third chapter, discusses the status of euthanasia in China and the confusion, first of all discusses the status of euthanasia in China, the article that China so far has not addressed the issue of euthanasia legislation.
