The Negative Effect Of Cyber Culture And Its Management

With the rapid development of information technology (IT), cyber culture, one of the emerging cultural patterns, serves importantly in people's everyday life. Cyber life has become a crucial part for university students. Meanwhile, cyber culture has covered their life in all aspects, exerting an influence on their new spiritual life. Undoubtedly cyber culture shocks students' inner world as well as their spiritual life, this bringing about harsh challenges to ideological and political education in universities. Cyber culture has both positive and negative effect like a double-edged sword. Thus, it has been a top issue to be solved that how to make best use of internet by reducing its negative effect in maximum.This paper is composed of four parts, the first of which concerns the issue discussed and its previous study chronicled in literatures and the purpose as well as the approach adopted in this paper. In the second part are analysis on students'motivation and attachment to the internet and the causes of cyber morality problem at present based on the university survey of cyber culture in students'life. A penetrating analysis of the internet's positive and negative effect dominates part three. In this part, the focus shifts to the negative effect on students from two aspects:the content and the form which means culture and tech, and indeed a praise of the internet is firstly mentioned in part three. A personal point of view on the management of students' internet using is elaborated in part four the last part. A scientific, civilized, healthy cyber culture with the character of socialism and lively, dynamic, scientific and wholesome university culture with the character of socialism are highly expected. An effective approach is needed to avoid harming from cyber culture so as to make best advantage of the internet, creating a healthy environment to university students.
