Traditional Chinese rural society is a "relationship-based" society. Social network has a special important role in the rural society. The rural social structure is based on extended kinship networks. Since reform and opening, with the rural social structure transform from "traditional" to "modern", rural social network is beginning to make a significant change, and showing a different structure characteristics from the past. And this structure characteristics have an important significance for us to understand the changes in rural social relations and the restructuring of rural society.This paper uses network-analysis methods to analyze and summarize the basic conditions and structural characteristics of rural social network, by analyzing the information about instrumental-network, emotional-network and contact-network of Lengshuigou village. On this basis, the paper further researches the relationship between rural social network and rural Social Structure.Overall, this thesis includes the following elements:Part I:Introduction, mainly introduce the meaning and the origin of the research.PartⅡ:Background of this research. In this section, firstly, through analyzed the related research, we establishes our own research goals, and puts forward the corresponding hypothesis, then, introduces the research methods and basic situation of the study.PartⅢ:Analysis of the basic situation of current rural social network, including the network size, form relationships, network homogeneity, heterogeneity and other aspects.PartⅣ:Analysis of the current changes and characteristics in rural social network, especially analyzing the network of rural society by the "single-coincidence" to "multiple-differentiation" structural changes in characteristics.PartⅤ:Analysis the relationship between rural social network and rural social structure.
