The Kinematic Research On The Hammer Throwing Technique Of The Chinese Elite Men Athletes In The 11th National Games

The 11^th National Games reveals that the Chinese hammer throwers lag far behind their overseas counterparts in terms of throwing skills. A research team from the Capital Institute of Physical Education, Beijing, China used two hi-speed video recorders to track down the final competition of hammer throwing at the 11th National Games, and made a video-based analysis of the hammer throwing techniques of those finalists by a 3-D kinematic approach. They therefore figured out the key technical parameters of those Chinese top hammer throwers, made a rational diagnosis of the techniques of those hammer throwers based on their segmented movements and overall action, and provided recommendations and theoretical basis for the Chinese hammer throwers to improve throwing techniques.Methodology: Two Hitachi portable high-speed video recorders were used to record the top 8 hammer throwers competing at the 11th National Games held on Oct. 21, 2009 in Jinan, Shandong province, and then an analysis was made based on American Alier Athletic Video Feedback System. Theories concerning hammer throwing principles, athletic biomechanics, athletic physiology and other scientific disciplines were adopted in analyzing the techniques of those Chinese hammer throwers, and the parameters used for the analysis mainly include the thrower's articulation angles, angular velocity, velocity and other relevant indexes.Research contents:This research has consulted and collected relevant articles about hammer sport both at home and abroad SO far 1990,in case of understanding the current situation of domestic and international relevant research at present and trend,analyzed athlete's body shape,special physique,rotate time. movement rhythm,rotate all stage speed between change and rotate course sport biomechanics parameter of domestic outstanding man's hammer combined with the kinematics data and index of the throw technology of the elite of the world.At last,found out Chinese athlete's deficiency and disparity in throwing technology.
