Analysis And Research On The Situation About Topics Related To "Volleyball" Of Outstanding Doctoral And Master's Degree Theses From 2000 To 2009 In Chinese Colleges

By using methods of literature, expert interviews, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, the thesis studies on the situation about topics related to "volleyball" of outstanding doctoral and master's degree theses from 2000 to 2009 in Chinese colleges, analyzes the aspects of number, quality,focusing areas of study, characteristics of using research methods and laws of references using, tries to summarize the common problems and deficiencies and to provide a useful clear, convenient reference and guidance for he scholars and post-graduate students of volleyball related directions in the future.It obtains the following conclusions after studying the situation of 341 doctoral and master's degree theses from 2000 to 2009 in China:1. The trend in the number of topics related to "volleyball" of outstanding doctoral and master's degree theses is upward from 2000 to 2009; The topics come from 37 colleges and universities mainly; The writers majored in physical education and training, and most of them were post-graduate students from volleyball direction.2. Objects of the studies are wide range of subjects, essentially concerned with all aspects of volleyball. Among them, studies on volleyball, volleyball games, college students, domestic and international status of elite athletes and the aspects of teaching are the core.3. The most used research methods of topics related to "volleyball" of outstanding doctoral and master's degree theses were literature, mathematical statistics, investigation, logical analysis, interviews for doctoral and master's degree theses. Most of them used about 4 or 5 methods; the main features were comprehensive research became the trends in research methods; the most used research methods were usual, and they were concentrated relatively, innovative approaches are rare; emphasis on combination of qualitative and quantitative.4. The largest proportion is applied research, basic research is relatively weak; there is a breakthrough of information and software development.5. The main directions are theories and methods of volleyball teaching, college volleyball, volleyball skills and tactics, recreational volleyball, volleyball industry and volleyball reserve fleet training.6.Volleyball and teaching theories and methods of college volleyball's become hot spots, at present there is still available research space; comparative study of volleyball skills and tactics were cared; there were few studies about mass sports; Interdisciplinary research got a larger proportion and interdisciplinary research were few.7. The number of our PhD and master's degree thesis papers'general references is fewer than foreign; Chinese literature shares the main part of citations, English literature is low.8. The main problems includes new approached and innovative methods are rare, the lack of standardized methods; there were too many basic studies, and exploratory, challenging topics were less; the studies about vulnerable groups and mass sports were weak.9. The factors which affect the topics of research include external factors such as tutors, curriculum, graduate education and graduate thesis model, quality management and students, motivation, study awareness, their knowledge structure, ability, innovation awareness, innovation and other aspects.10. The trends:multidisciplinary research will be further strengthened; curriculum reform is still very important; the focus on comparative study with foreign volleyball field; Mass sports will become a hot spot; researches about injuries of Volleyball areas will be developed; the empirical study will continue to develop; the topics of combining the theory and practice has practical significance.
