The purpose of the present study is to explore the experiences of Arab Muslim students in the Universities of China. The universities that are taken under study for the fulfillment of this thesis are as follow: Huazhong university of Science and Technology, Wuhan University and Geo-Sciences University. The study that has been taken was regarding cultural differences and cultural adjustment, language difficulties, supervision, and differences of study system. Twelve Arab Muslim students were conducted through Semi structured interviews for the development of this research paper. The participants are from different majors and from different Arab countries such as: Morocco, Sudan, Yemen, Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. The findings of the study reveal that although students experience some difficulties adjusting to Chinese society that is for most of them different in many aspects, adjustment is made easier through their interaction with local Muslim communities and organizations such as mosques where most Muslims meet at least one day a week that is Friday noon for practising their prayer in group. In addition, respondents indicate that the rich multicultural nature of Chinese society is an asset that helps them to better integration on and off campus. Moreover, the presence of Arab Muslim students at these universities may help in correcting and prove the image of Islam as a religion that has been distorted by the west media for instance. Muslims in general and Arab Muslim students in particular demonstrate that through interaction both academically and socially with other students from other cultural assembly. The study recommends greater cooperation between the universities and Muslim cultural and religious organizations within Chinese society.
