With the accelerated urbanization process in China, large numbers of people are migrating to cities. The speed of construction of urban transport facilities is relatively slow, which exacerbates the conflict of pedestrians crossing the street, gradually making it a major problem to the urban traffic safety. Therefore, research on the conflict phenomenon of pedestrian crossing by mathematical model will play an important role for improving the transport operating efficiency and services.This paper relies on Natural Science Foundation of Heilongjiang Province"Game Analysis of Pedestrian Crossing and Pedestrian Crossing Facilities Optimization"(G200905), in which the analysis of pedestrian crossing conflicts using by game theory was firstly introduced. This paper described the process of pedestrian crossing game, analyzed the modeling assumptions, constructed a pedestrian crossing game model, described the solution process, and gave out recommendations on the optimization of model and facilities. Specifically includes the following:Through the surveys and traffic flow image acquisition, the paper first gave a statistical description on the physical characteristics of the pedestrian crossing, including psychological characteristics, speed characteristics and their influence with the different elements of relationships. Then, the paper discussed the conflict of pedestrian crossing in classification, including conflict of free-signal-control and conflict of signal-control.Based on the analysis of factor influence, the paper established the pedestrian and vehicle utility function, and built two types of game model combined with the process of conflict, including model of pedestrian crossing based on pedestrian-first-making-decision, and model of pedestrian crossing based on vehicle-fist-making-decision.Further, this paper revealed the dynamics characteristics of pedestrian crossing through the contrastive study of the two game model equilibrium, and introduces the model of queuing theory to optimize the design of model. The research results make it a significance to forecast the flow of pedestrian and vehicle, and the inter-relationship between them on the optimization of transport facilities.
