Application Of Interactive Graphic Software In Hotel English Instruction

With the rapid development of Information Technology, the Ministry ofEducation put forward the 'Trial Reform Program in Elementary EducationCurricula' which insists promoting the integration of IT and curriculum; graduallyrealizing the reform in the presentation of teaching content, students' learningmethod, teachers' teaching methods and the interaction style between teachers andstudents; exerting the advantage of modern IT; and providing wonderful educationalenvironment and powerful learning tools for the students' leaning and development.Also we know from the document 'Suggestions of the Emphasis on the EducationalTalent Training in Higher Vocational and Academic Education' that we should pushforward the modern Information Technology such as the Computer-AidedInstruction, multimedia teaching skill, virtual technique and so as to enlarge thevolume of information in class and improve the class efficiency. And the integrationof IT and curriculum suggests that the multimedia skills, the main media and tool,will melt into the aspects of teaching and learning, which includes excelsiorcurriculum, teaching preparation, classroom teaching process, achievementevaluation and so on.As a teacher of college, I will summarize and analyze the traditional teachingmethods and the methods with some multimedia education skills. Then explore howto create virtual hotel scenes with the software such as Flash and Director to realizethe interaction between teacher and students, improve the teaching effects and helpthe student experience the fun of learning in the virtual hotel.The study of this topic will not only improve our students' interests and effectsin professional course and provide excellent courseware for the teachers but alsomake my contribution to the development of college English teaching.
