It is an unchallengeable fact that the human society comes into the age of highly developed communication and information. The more highly the society relies on the information communication, the more extensively the news institutions influence the society. The journalism classroom in Institutions of Higher Learning is the main frontline to foster the talents of journalism; the effectiveness of the classroom education in this regard is directly linked to the profession of the journalist, the level of journalist team development, and the quality of news and information. Under that background, it makes both theoretical and practical meaning to conduct an effectiveness study on journalism classroom education in the institution of higher learning in China.The study consists of four Sections:SectionⅠdescribed the study background, goal & objective, domestic & abroad update, study scope & method, basic concept and the initials in this article, indicating the importance of this study.SectionⅡanalyzed the general factors and special factors that would make the effect on the effectiveness of the journalism classroom education in the institution of higher learning.SectionⅢsets up the evaluation criteria for the effectiveness, and by taking Heilongjiang Province as example, analyzed the effectiveness of the journalism classroom education and pointed out the major issues existing with the journalism classroom education, such as lack of special equipment, insufficient specialty coaching, and inadequate opportunity for practical exercise.SectionⅣproposed the strategies relevant to the effectiveness of journalism classroom education in the institution of higher learning, which is based on the current status of the journalism classroom education in the institutions of higher learning in China, key strategies including to increase the amount of special equipment, to transform journalism education concept, to change education mechanism, and to get more opportunities for practical exercise, etc.
