Textbooks as the materialized product are the content carrier of the curriculum standard as well as the main tools for teachers and students, so in curriculum reform carrier occupies an important position. Senior high school chemistry curriculum standard (tests) pointed out that chemistry course include the required course and elective course, required course has two modules and elective course has six modules, "structure and properties of matter" as one of the module was proposed, the textbook also appeared in 2004, They are published by People,s Education Press,Shangdong Science and Technology Press and Jiangsu Education Press separately. The comparison and analysis to the writing characteristics of three edition "structure and properties of matter" textbooks have the certain reference value for the most teachers and textbook writers, so this paper analyzed the writing characteristics of " structure and properties of matter " textbook.This paper consists of four parts:The first part is the preface, it expounds the reason why we proposed the problem, domestic present situation of the research, the research purpose and the methods.The second part is the theoretical basis. First,the concept of teaching materials and textbooks to define,and then describes the theoretical basis for the preparation of textbooks. On this basis, constructing the textbook analysis model.The third part analyse the section of'' structure and properties of matter''in these three editions concretely, this part is also the emphasis of the paper. First ,This part described the status and role of the module, and on this basis analyze the choice of the textbook contents, the organization of textbook contents and the presentation of the textbook contents ..The fourth part is the conclusion and recommendation. Based on the comprehensive analysis of their respective edition textbooks, the paper summarizes the writing characteristic of the three editions respectively, and proposes the specific recommendations .
