The essay is an action research report,Which aims at introducing an efficient teaching method on high school vocabulary teaching using context. Before writing this essay, I studied various vocabulary teaching methods, and searching a large amount of materials. Based on this, I carefully analyzed the problem existing in the current middle school teaching class, and promote the idea of teaching vocabulary by using context and put it into practice.By following cognizing rules, vocabulary learning strategies and theories of context teaching, we can mobilize the initiatives and self-motivation to a larger extend, thereby, promote their learning to level from perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge and finally achieve the effect of vocabulary teaching. Vocabularies are learned through context instead of being isolated. Meanwhile, the method helps develop students'listening, speaking, reading and writing etc. Though it is time-consuming, through accumulation, students'interest will be aroused and students'memory, thoughts, imagination and creativity will be also developed, which can urge them to find the most appropriate way to make preparations for their life-long study. Therefore, based on the vocabulary teaching rules and present situations, Context Teaching Method(also called Word-Sentence-Passage)is worthy studying and carrying out. By analyzing and describing the present vocabulary teaching situations, I discover the main problems and to determine the study's topic. And based on the theory of vocabulary teaching method and the theory of context teaching method, I promote vocabulary teaching by using context. Following it, I put forward a Research design, including problems which need to be solved, the purpose of designing, researching tools and research procedure then, I analyze the data through checking and analyzing the data of research, interview and do surveys. Finally, comes the reflection, including the review of research and the summary of significance and problems of research.
