The Status Quo And Strategies On Education Of National Defense To Rural College Students

"National can not stand without defense, people can not feel safe without soldier", Defense Security is a fundamental policy that related to the fate and future of the country. In order to improve the defense consciousness of the rural college students, we have to start with the basic education for defense.Since college year is a time for students to set up their scientific world views,values and outlook on lives, school education for defense should be one of the most important education in high schools. with the purpose of realizing rural college students present situation,existing problems and the influencing factors for education and the plans of promoting the education for national defense, the writer,take agricultural high schools for examples, extends a hot discussion.Through a six investigations and the 1740 questionnaires of agricultural high schools in Hunan province, the writer come to the following conclusions:Nowadays, rural college students highly care about the important matters home and abroad, but they are not glad to learn and accept the education of defense,they have a sharp knowledge about international and domestic political situation, what is more,they all be instinct with patriotism. What the bad thing is that they can not analyze and realize the importance of strengthening national Defense Drive under the circumstances of economic globalization, mostly display on the dimness of defense knowledge and on the various levels of Military Theoretical knowledge, they also be short of the right view about it.Through analyzing the reasons, the writer think that we can use the following ways to improve students " education for national defense:first, try hard to enhance the building of Military course; second, expand the forms of the education for national defense; third, perfect the regulations and mechanisms of our national defense law. Now,more and more schools are going to recognize such planful and meaningful education for rural college students, on the one hand,it can help to improve the education for all-round development, on the other hand,it can help to train the well educated military reserves and officers for the army.
