With the rapid development of the society, traditional family ties are challenged. Divorce rate of China rises continuously under the influence of various ideological trends on culture and divorced families have a large proportion in the society. For some reasons, students from divorced families account for a high proportion in vocational schools. There is a gap in mental health between students from divorced families in vocational schools and the peers due to the broken families, features of physical and psychological development of the youngsters as well as the features of vocational schools. It's easy for them to have psychological problems.Based on the analysis on the data from questionnaire survey and face-to-face visit, the essay reveals the prime causes influencing the mental health of students from divorced families in vocational schools and specifies the necessity and urgency of improving the mental health of students from divorced families in vocational schools by utilizing the theoretical analysis tools of pedagogy and psychology. The essay suggests relevant operating strategies on improving the mental health of students from divorced families in vocational schools, which includes the creation of the atmosphere of caring for the students from divorced families in families and schools, the implementation of various forms of"one assisting another"activity as well as specialized intervening measures against the status that mental health education of students from divorced families in vocational schools haven't been given enough attention, that mental health education has no clear aim and that there aren't enough qualified teachers of mental health education, The strategies will improve the students'mental health effectively and make due contribution to the healthy growth of the students and harmonious development of the society.
