Due to the influence of Confucianism, Death is such a taboo topic that we often neglect death education when popularizing life education. Life and death is inseparable, because life ends up with death. Advocating death education is to let the educated deepen their understanding of death, prevent them from and face various death events. Hopefully, the educated will cherish life more, and their life quality will be elevated, personal value be achieved. This is compatible with the starting point of life education. Therefore, death education is indispensible in life education, and it is another manifestation of life education.For the purpose of better developing death education, it is necessary to know the attitude of the youth toward death. This thesis selects the students of Suzhou Lotus Middle School as subjects, investigates their attitudes toward death and death education demand by means of handing out questionnaires. Based on this, the study further analyzes factors influencing their attitudes.This thesis includes four Sections:Section One introduces rationale for this study and the significance of advocating death education, reviews previous researches and discusses the strength and weakness of this thesis.Section Two presents the framework of this study, which includes subjects, research method, instruments and purpose.Section Three is the part of results and discussion. From the perspectives of personal background and environmental experiences, the author summarizes the basic information of the subject, analyzes their dimension of attitude toward death, and whether the variables in basic information exert great influence on their attitude toward death. Bases on this, the study examines death education demand of the subjects. Section Four is the conclusion part.
