| The traditional science teaching (including chemistry teaching), which is based on the scientific view of logical empiricism, trends to largely focus on the transmission and accumulation of knowledge, but ignore the scientific discovery in the teaching process, which is of great importance in education. By contrast, in the current curriculum reform whose aim is to form and enhance the students'scientific literacy, students are required not only to learn the essence of science gradually and to understand the chemistry knowledge, but also to locate its western premise and to trace its eastern varieties. The new chemistry curriculum also encourages the scientific inquiry, encourages the students to express their supposition and presumption toward the scientific problems, and emphasize and pay attention to the test of the knowledge. The basic characteristic of science is the testability; therefore, the scientific test in the study can help to deeply and broadly understand the chemistry. In this paper, on the basis of the analysis the scientific test from the perspective of ontology, we have discussed the necessity of the stress on the scientific test in the chemistry curriculum and teaching, defined the understanding of chemistry through the scientific test, and probed the scientific test in the chemistry learning from the perspective of scientific knowledge understanding. Some opinions have been proposed here: 1) The scientific test need to be established practically and realistically; 2) The scientific test is a procedure, in which the theory and experiment are combined and mutually exam. Among them, chemical experiment is the core of the empirical test, while logical test is also an important testing approach; 3) As the presumptive interpretation of the scientific problem, supposition and presumption are the carriers of the scientific test in the study of chemistry. We hope our work would help to develop the understanding of the scientific test and be a useful reference for the chemistry education and teaching in actual practice in the future. |
