Chemistry is a subject based on experiment. In recent years, the proportion of chemistry experiment content has been increasing in the ordinary senior high school chemistry academic level examination. But the contents involved in chemical experiment are intricate and abundant. The teaching application of mind mapping began in the 1960 s,with which is featured summarizing and integrating information. As a visualized assistant teaching tool, mind mapping is widely used in various disciplines.Applying the method of mind mapping to the review of the experimental content of the chemistry academic level tests,we can organize and category the messy review material efficiently and succinctly, and establish a clear and integrated knowledge vein, thus improving the students' grades of academic proficiency tests. This paper, first of all, considered the summary on the current status of the domestic and foreign researches of academic proficiency examination and the application of mind mapping as the point of penetration.Through comparative analysis of the questions given in experimental academic level tests of 2013 to 2016 in the Inner Mongolia,it could be known that the contents of the experimental examination can be divided into five modules,"chemical experiment safety knowledge","separation, purification and identification of substances","electrochemical experiment","mass concentration experiment" and "laboratory preparation of common gases" respectively,to which the experimental test questions corresponding were organized and analyzed. Also, this paper discussed the contents and ways involved in those tests.Secondly, the mind mapping was produced according to the characteristics of the mind mapping and to the point of the five modules of thechemistry experimental academic level test content. The first module,"Safety knowledge of chemical experiments",was designed and studied with four mental maps, which respectively were the safe and correct use of experimental instruments, the basic operation of safe and correct experiments, the understanding of laboratory safety measures and the establishment of "six defenses" of safety consciousness. The second module,"Separation, purification and identification of substances",was designed and studied with three mental maps: separation and purification with physical approaches, separation and purification with chemical approaches, and substance inspection and identification. The third module,"Electrochemical experiment",was designed and studied by two mental maps of electrolytic tank and primary battery, and the fourth module was reviewed directly the mental map of material concentration experiment. The fifth module,"Laboratory preparation of common gases",was designed and studied with two mental maps,of which one was the laboratory preparation for 13 kinds of gases and the other was gas drying and purification. Finally, taking the safety knowledge module of chemical experiment as an example for teaching practice, this paper briefly discussed the teaching effect of the mind mapping used in the review of experimental academic proficiency test.Through practice,it was found that the review of the experimental module by using the mind mapping can not only provide an effective thinking framework for teachers, but also help students build up the knowledge venation of each module,so as to achieve the re-integration and re-summing up of the review contents, and a review effect of improving the students' enthusiasm in reviewing. The organic combination of mind mapping and the experimental review content of the academic level test not only allows the students to figure out a suitable reviewing way,but also makes the teacher find out the shortcut of review teaching.
