China is a large agricultural country, which agricultural population is about 70% of the total. Agriculture is the basis of Chinese economy. Agricultural development and rural prosperity are decided by improvement of farmers'living and production standards to some extent. The extension of agricultural technology result and its application are very important approach and measure for solving the problems facing on agriculture, rural areas and farmers. As distribution centers of the national achievements, Universities have potential advantage to popularize agricultural technologies because of their solid science and education foundation, perfect research infrastructure and advanced research methods. Currently, transfer rate of technical result is as high as 80% in developed countries, whereas only 40% in China. China are launching a campaign to build a comfortable society, because universities own rich resource of science and education, and are conducting extension of science and technology, so it is very important for the universities to find agricultural extension pattern suitable for China's situation.Focus on agricultural extension pattern of universities in our country, and to meet the need of built science of agricultural expansion and agricultural extension. Based on the necessary relevant theories of the model construction, this paper deals with domestic and international theories and the practical research status and discussed the cause, development and features of the mode of some representative countries such as the US. Besides, benefiting from some extension mode of domestic and abroad universities and practical experience of the application of the participatory theories and methods in our country, this paper also systematically analyzes the features, advantages and disadvantages of the"Three types"(expansion-institute-led , science-and-technology-project-driven and market-led type) and"Eight patterns"(experts compound, of science and technology demonstration, of school region cooperation, of experiment demonstrating base, of demonstrative region, of technology caravan, of enterprise and farming household service, of technological associations service) built by NWAFU in the front line of agricultural production and regional center of leading industry. Furthermore, it proposed countermeasures and suggestions to perfect agricultural extension pattern of universities in our country, Finally, extension efficiency is increased, and have theatrical and practical significance for development of agriculture and rural areas and increase of farmers' income.
