In order to deal with the highly demands of education teachers on basic education curriculum reform, and enhance the training quality of talents in normal professional of ordinary college, the usage of appropriate evaluation methods (to promote the overall development of students ideas) are increasingly being accepted by people,and it's also spread and, disseminate very quickly. In recent years, the research focus on the performance assessment in the field of educational evaluation.According to the characteristics of vocal music curriculum for undergraduate in musicology (normal professional) of tertiary college, author puts forward this course is suitable for this tool which called the performance assessment. By using the method of literature research, questionnaires, experimentation, case analysis, this paper explored the application of performance assessment in vocal music curriculum from the theoretical and practical aspects. In theoretical level, this paper combines a lot of research achievements in performance assessment, consequently finding a proper theoretical framework that suitable for both the performance assessment and the vocal music curriculum via summarize and analysis. In practical level, with the corporation, exploration and experiment of the vocal music teachers and students, it confirms the feasible of application about performance assessment in vocal music curriculum. And it also research and discuss the content, tools, methods, evaluation index system for performance assessment in vocal music curriculum. Then it clears up a detailed operational methods and implementation steps and gives some example of how to use the performance assessment in vocal music curriculum.In addition to the preface, all my propositions and explanations are made in three chapters.Chapter one, by reading and combining the relevant literature, this paper discussed the basic theory of performance assessment. Then based on this discussion, it analysis the feasible of application about performance assessment in vocal music curriculum.Chapter two, on the basis of the theoretical and combination of the teaching experience in vocal music curriculum, this paper gives a specific model of operation about performance assessment. Moreover according to the case analysis proved the feasible of this model.Chapter three, on the basis of the practical, this paper discussed and summarized the deficiencies of application about performance assessment in vocal music curriculum.
