Study On Efficiency Of Ideological And Political Education Of Contemporary College Students

It raises great concern that ideology and political education in college has been always in low efficiency, which become the focal point not only of the parents and universities, but also of the whole society.The efficiency of ideology and political education mainly refers to the efficiency and effectiveness assessment of the relative educational activities. It is reflected on various aspects of different levels. There are many factors that would influence the efficiency and effectiveness of it such as the social macro-environment, individual family environment, the political educational institution as well as the organizing and managing system of the educational work.Such educational work can be divided into three subsystems:the environment, the education and the management. In order to ensure that political education works well among college students, these three subsystems should cooperate with each other smoothly. In fact, we can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of political education either theoretically or practically. The former one includes the purification of social environment, the reformation of ideological and political education system and the strong emphasis on supervision while the latter one includes the integration of various educational power, the reformation of political educational curriculum, and the cultivation of student responsibility consciousness.According to our survey, there are mainly five factors that affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the college political education. Firstly, the university, the family and the whole society are lacking in cooperation with each other. Secondly, the inappropriate choice of the college political education has done great harm. Thirdly, the curriculum reform is. comparatively speaking, rather slow in pace. Fourthly, the present political education centered improperly, and lastly, there is no clear key responsibility body in ideology and political education. Therefore, it is urgent to establish a long-term working mechanism for college student ideology and political education, in which, to establish a three-party linkage of political education among the society, the university and the family should be regarded as our working direction to realize this objective. This research shows that a long-term working mechanism for college student ideology and political education should be made up of three parts:the political education information generating system, the information integration system and the executive system. Furthermore, each of the three parts should co-work together. In conclusion, it is of great value for us to construct such a mechanism to tackle with the low efficiency of ideology and political education in university of China.
