Mental retarded, i.s. people whose mental degree is clearly lowly than the common people and those show action barriers. Lots of scholars have research on physical education in mental-retarded schools. And the research have shown significant significance.The paper pay attention totwo parts:the existing difficulties of Special Olympics physical education in nine typical mental-retarded schools in Hunan; how to get a better amalgamation between Special Olympics and physical education in mental_retarded schools to resolves some important society problemsThe author have got formation through questionnaires investigation of180teachers of9mental-retarded school in8cities and talking with18leaders,. And after disposing of the datas and statistics through some tools, for example spss10.0, author has got under mentioned results:Those mental-retarded children who have experiences in special Olympics games obviously improve the connections with others, and more quickly go into society. However, shorting of special Olympics knowledge, special education major background, low salary, physical education funds, and outdated physical equipments facilities, all of these things become important factors to restrict amalgamation of the special Olympics and physical education in mentally retarded school.This paper finds key problems by the questionnaires investigation, then it points out corresponding countermeasures by the key problems. Countermeasures are including two parts:First, form macroscopic aspect, i. s. government should absorb special Olympics knowledges in physical education in mental-retarded schools; every department should strengthen training about Special Olympics knowledges, intensify special Olympics publicities, and expand financing channels, and satisfy mental-retarded school's physical education demand. Second, form microcosmic aspect, i. s. mental-retarded schoo]s must pay more attention to "quickly attending special recourses"; adjust teacher structures, attach importance to physical teachers'outlook.
